| JOB DESCRIPTIONS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (BHT) A BHT's main responsiblity is to provide support and care for the children living in the group home and to maintain a safe environment within the group home. BHT's assist clients by directing interactions, including but not limited to behavioral management, and facilitating therapeutic recreational and social life skills. Some additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: *Complete ongoing training, to include CPR, First Aid, and CIT. *Participate in Monthly Team Meetings and seek help when needed. *Assist with client admission and discharge. *Safely and appropriately restrain clients according to CPI standards when necessary. *Follow an assigned schedule for daily activities. *Oversee client's completion of daily living tasks. *Use CPI techniques to de-escalate a client. *Follow unit rules and schedules to provide consistency. *Dispense medications. *Complete Daily Progress Notes. *Maintain all DES licensing standards. *Computer skills. |
| HOUSE MANAGER Responsible for overall program of a specific house with children ages 8-17 years old. Supervises all staff at that house. Schedules staff and provides unit coverage as indicated by staffing needs. Schedules and coordinates daily operation pertaining to clients and staff and implements and monitors daily group home schedules. Functions as a role model, adhering to agency standards of practice for clients, staff, and the public. Accurately documents each client's behaviors, sleep patterns, interactions, and provides a therapeutic approach during daily routine. Some additional responsibilites include but are not limited to: * Completing ongoing training, * Participate in monthly team meetings, * Client admission and discharge, * Maintaining all DES licensing standards as well as agency policies and procedures, Evaluation and pay raise after three months.
